Hi all,
So I’m moving out of my Cambridge flat in a few weeks, and I’m trying to figure out whether it’s really worth paying for professional [link widoczny dla zalogowanych], or if I can tackle it myself. I’m fairly tidy and don’t mind cleaning, but there are a few things like carpet stains and lime scale in the bathroom that I’m worried about.

The letting agent I rented through is pretty strict — they sent me a long list of what they expect, and they mentioned that the property should be left in a "professionally clean" condition. But there’s no clause that specifically says I must use a cleaning company.

Have any of you tried to clean yourselves and had your deposit returned in full? Or did you end up having to pay for additional cleaning anyway?

On the flip side, if anyone here has hired a Cambridge-based end of tenancy cleaning service, what was the cost like? Was it worth it? Did they offer any sort of guarantee or re-clean policy if the landlord wasn’t satisfied?

I’d love to hear your thoughts — especially from other tenants who’ve had to weigh the DIY vs. professional cleaning decision.
